		The main
object of Directive principles of state policy is to liberate the masses
in a positive sense, to free them from passivity engendered by centuries
of coercion by society and nature and by ignorance, and from the abject
physical conditions that had prevented them from fulfilling their best
selves. So, keeping in view for establishment of socialistic pattern of
society, the word “Socialistic pattern of society, the word socialism”
was included in the constitution, because the main emphasis in a
socialist state is on the welfare of all not of a few. The state is
entitled to adopt all possible measures to secure the welfare and
happiness of all sections of the people.
