		Democracy has
now been reduce to the electoral politics and development has emerged as
an apolitical domain of specialized knowledge which has been
emasculating larger section of society in term of determining their
course of living. This knowledge and expertise has been coercing people
to follow and accept the prescribe model of development without any kind
of reservations. The tragedy is that the democracy as a form of
government and democratic theory has also been co-opted in this.
