ARABIAN ONLINE OPEN ACCESS JOURNALS: A STUDY ON DOAJ

Abstract

 

The present study analysed E-Journals of Arab countries which were listed in Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ). The researcher contacted and analysed the data of E-Journals of Arab countries till the date of 27-09-2014. Findings showed that there were 87 E-Journals of Arab countries were published in DOAJ. Forty four journals have been contributed from the Commercial (com) and 20 Journals were contributed from Organizational (org) mail Domain. Egypt is the majority country contributed with 42 E-journals. Eighty seven of E-Journals of Arab countries were identified from 16 countries in DOAJ. English was the most common Communication language to spread the knowledge in all over the world which was used by 67 of E-Journals of Arab countries. Almost majority subject headings of E-Journals of Arab were contributed and interested in Science Field, whereas only Two E-Journals were contributed in Social science.
